Don't you wish you had a pocket balloon house now? I see a new trend in jiffy pop hobo coming soon. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmhhhh I like how the grime sets at the bottom of the bag. Okay so perhaps it's not exactly a transient death trap, but it looks like it could be. Or a million and one other things- none of which are good.
In reality what you see is a pocket house designed by Barcelona designer Martin Azura. He's known for his work as a minimalist, and environmentally friendly construction designer. His latest idea is this metalized polyester temporary house... balloon...tent- thingy. The ultra portable shelter can be compacted as to fit in your pocket, and when unfolded self inflates through outdoor temperature and the users own body heat. If you were to reverse which material was facing outwards you can effectively control the climate inside by changing where heat is reflected or absorbed. That still sounds suspiciously like microwave popcorn for people to me.
The idea does sound really good in certain situations, I can say that much. Emergency tent for hikers and hunters, distributed in mass during disasters until more aid can come in. I will be honest, they do look fairly roomy as well. I know if I ever got one however that my kids would have that thing claimed, dragged into the backyard, and most likely lost in the first breeze that picked up.
